At YMa, you don't have to be an artist to be creative.

You might come to learn something new, meet people, move, make, perform, watch a film, join a conversation, develop an idea or try something you've never done before.

There are lots of ways to take part — whatever your age, experience or confidence.

Join a Class or Workshop

Move, make, learn, experiment and have fun.

Our programme includes creative workshops, movement and wellbeing activities, music, theatre, film, making and opportunities to develop new skills.

No experience? That's absolutely fine. Curiosity is enough.

Children, Young People & Families

We want YMa to be a place where creativity can begin early.

Through theatre, cinema, workshops, schools programmes, performances and creative projects, children and young people can experience the arts — and have opportunities to make their own.

Our ambition is to develop work for, with and by children, young people and families across RCT.

Artists & Creatives

Have an idea? We'd love to hear about it.

Moondance Theatre & CineYMa are developing as spaces where artists can meet, experiment, collaborate, research, rehearse, test ideas and share new work.

Through performances, screenings, R&D, Creative Labs, conversations and artist development opportunities, we want to support creativity at different stages of its journey.

You don't always need to arrive with a finished production.

Sometimes it starts with a conversation.

Communities

YMa belongs to its community.

We work with local groups, organisations and individuals to develop activities and creative experiences that respond to the people and place around us.

If your community has an idea, a story to tell or something you'd like to explore together, talk to us.

Volunteer With Us

There are many ways to become part of YMa behind the scenes too.

From welcoming audiences and supporting events to helping with cinema, community activities and special projects, volunteering can be a way to meet people, gain experience and become part of our creative community.
